Turn-key tabletop dynamic gas mixer with integrated 6 button TFT color interface, separable industrial touch-panel PC with accessory kickstand, and pre-loaded Fusion Flow MXM software.
Configurable chassis allows for 2 to 6 gas inputs with any combination of flow rates ranging from 100 SCCM to 100 SLPM full-scale, per channel.
Custom engineered for every application, the MXM family of gas mixers are the only hardware-based blenders of their kind to offer both flow and pressure delivery modes. Accurate and dynamic gas mixing is accomplished via specially tuned Alicat Scientific mass flow controllers commanded by our proprietary MixModule device. The included Microsoft Windows 10 based, 12.1” resistive touch panel PC with pre-loaded Fusion Flow MXM software gives the user full control over the gas mixing process, including preset recipes, automation steps, and robust data logging. Powered by 8th generation Intel Core i/Celeron processors and supported by expansive I/O options, the MXM-PC is well suited to light industrial use or installations needing a highly integrated, robust and fully featured human (and machine) interface.
All Fusion Flow MXM systems are custom engineered to achieve the best possible gas blending result.
Microsoft Windows 10 based, 12.1” resistive touch panel PC with pre-loaded Fusion Flow MXM software.
The MXM-PC model supports a very wide range of laboratory and light industry application needs, while employing the robust and familiar Windows OS environment.
The MXM-PC is a turn-key tabletop dynamic gas mixer with dedicated 6 button TFT color interface and fully featured industrial PC panel. The resistive touchscreen can be used with gloves and is ideal for the laboratory as well as light industrial areas. A familiar Windows® operating environment runs the proprietary Fusion Flow MXM software for full management of the gas mixing process. The open-air PC kickstand can be detached and located remotely from the base. Additionally, the PC itself can be removed from the kickstand and mounted in a wall, panel opening, or cabinet door.
The ‘business end’ of the MXM-PC showcases the 6 available source gas input ports and the single mixed gas outlet port. Either ¼” or 3/8” tube compression fittings are used depending on the customer’s chosen flow rates. Base unit connections include an RS232 male DB9 for bi-directional communication, 24VDC 4 pin DIN power port, 4 pin locking connector for additional or custom wiring features, 8 pin M12 port for powering outboard pressure or flow devices, and the master power switch. The PC touch panel itself provides four USB 3.1 ports, four RS232 DB9 ports, one isolated RS422/485 terminal, dual RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet, mic and audio jacks, DB15HD VGA and HDMI 1.4 external monitor connections. The optional digital and analog I/O boxes shown, provide 4 in/4 out digital terminals, as well as 4 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs for enhanced automation integration (MXM software required).
A small 14”x14” footprint allows the MXM to act as a bench top gas mixer, to be installed on a cart, or easily transported for use ‘on-site ‘ via its included Pelican transit case. Note the stainless steel chassis and handles, powder coated steel cover, and rubber feet allowing it to be placed on any surface or mounted in any orientation. If required, the upper PC panel’s kickstand can be detached and used apart from the MXM base (custom umbilical required).
Available base flow range scales for individual gas control channels (any combination of 2 to 6 channels)*:
Accuracy at calibration conditions for individual gas control channels:
Repeatability (2σ) for individual gas control channels:

*Custom ranges and alternate units of measure are available at no extra charge, however density based, true-mass units of measure are not possible at this time (e.g. lbs/hr, kg/min, etc.)
Some of the process attributes which are taken into account during the application engineering phase are:
Unit ships in a re-usable, hand-fitted foam Pelican transit case, allowing the MXM-PC to arrive safely from our factory, and also be easily transported in the future.
