Advances in the metallurgical welding sciences have driven a need for new shielding gas blends.

The Fusion Flow Technologies MXM platform allows for real-time control over the gas mixtures, providing welding researchers with a way to fine-tune the chemistry surrounding weld oxidation, plasma rejection, droplet formation, weld penetration, brittleness, and porosity.

Additionally, newly introduced industrial metal alloys will necessitate the need for ever-changing welding parameters, and the MXM is the perfect companion in developing the new techniques needed.

On the industrial scale, the MXM can also be configured to deliver pressurized shielding gas mixtures to large welding network or ballast tank. Sized appropriately, the MXM will meet the highly variable demand from the factory floor, while allowing real-time adjustments to the mixture; a capability that is impossible when using pre-mixed gas cylinders.
